. SHINAN EDWIN CINTRON -Founder of Mattaki Bouei Ryu
Edwin Cintron studied Goyu and Ninjutsu in Puerto Rico under Meijen Joaquin Casado -9th Dan, highest rank in the Caribbean,at that time. While training in the mountain of Puerto Rico, earned Black Belt Degree in Ninjutsu. Later trained in Goyu and weaponary with Sensei Peter Urban. He then traveled to New York , started his Miyama Ryu career in the Tremont Judo Dojo, and studied directly under the teaching of Shihan Antonio Pereira. An American soldier, founder of Miyama Ryu, who combined the classical and modern Japanese martial arts with military combat and Western street-style fighting. In the early years of Miyama Ryu JuJutsu school, Edwin Cintron, his wife Jasmine Cintron, and two of their children Elizabeth and Edwin, joined and earned certificates and belts placed by the late, world known, and respected Shinan Antonio Pereira.
Edwin Cintron received certificates, belts and degrees which enabled him to assist in the teaching at the Tremont dojo, including training police tactics to N.Y.P.D.and many others of N.Y Law Enforcement.
Later traveled to Florida and continued the legacy of Combat Jujutsu. Today, after 30 years of training Shinan Edwin Cintron holds rank of a 3rd Dan Sandan Black Belt, and is dedicated to continue Combat JuJutsu as he learned from Shihan Antonio Pereira, with Miyama Ryu Combat Jujutsu and from his past training in Puerto Rico.
"NEVER LET ANY MAN, WOMAN OR CHILD TAKE AWAY WHAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED" were the inspired words from Shinan Antonio Pereira, and the legacy lives!!!!!
